Mission
In order to help guide and prepare students for a technologically oriented society it is important to incorporate technology within an educational program. Students will be able to enhance their creative, problem-solving and communication skills by accessing and making connections beyond the classroom. These skills will facilitate student-centered learning to foster interpretation and analysis of information. I am committed to empowering students to use technology effectively and to encourage collaboration with others as well as independence.
Vision
My vision is to see all students develop confidence when using technology. Students will be able to access various forms of technology enhancing their connection to the outside world on a daily basis. Students will explore, analyze and augment their knowledge of technology through a challenging, fun and stimulating environment. As students move from grade level to grade level they will generate innovative ways to express what they've learned encouraged by their teacher. This will enable the students to develop their knowledge of software programs and learning by utilizing them to improve the quality of their life as they become responsible, productive members of society.
Classroom Rules & Expectations
Students are expected to follow all classroom rules and expectations of Winding Springs Elementary. Students that need redirection will have time to sit at the reflection table in order to reflect on their behavior. Students in second through fifth grade will be expected to know their computer login information in order to maximize instructional time. Please refer to your teacher's login cheat sheets and login cards for your information. Students will continue to work on projects based on curricular subjects and will work with a variety of media.
